As flax gained popularity for its industrial uses, however, its popularity as a food product waned, but it never lost its nutritional value.
Flax Lignan SDG contains lignans which have strong antioxidant activity. Antioxidants help protect our bodies and strengthen the immune system. Flaxseed and the Flax Lignan SDG (secoisolariciresinol-diglucoside) are recognized to be beneficial to our health. SDG is a lignan that is converted by colonic bacteria into enterolactone.

Studies showed SDG had estrogenic and antioxidant activities, also had anticarcinogenic, antiatherogenic and antidiabetic activities.
